Night Rose is one of the builds we're the most proud of, and it's one of the few that sits right on top of something Optimist was actually built on.
If you've been around a while, you'll know our first real success in modding was a build called Sakura. It started as almost nothing; a fishtank PC with pink fans and felt cherry blossoms glued all over it, which is about as simple as an idea gets. It worked far better than something that simple has any right to, and it ended up sending a real ripple through the industry.

A case a PC is allowed to hold
We honestly can't tell you whether we were the first to think of it. What we can tell you is that after Sakura, flower-inspired builds started showing up everywhere you looked, and watching that happen has been one of the better parts of doing this. Design after design, the whole theme got picked up and pushed further by community creators and influencers we genuinely admire, and it quietly made the case we've always wanted to make, that a PC is allowed to hold some personality of its own.
A PC is allowed to hold some personality of its own.

Night Rose came out of all of that. It started life as a commission, and it got popular enough that we ended up putting it on the main storefront so more people could have one. Almost every decision on it came down to keeping the loop clean enough to sit next to something that pretty; the tubing is bent by hand in tight chrome runs so your eye follows the water instead of the cabling, and we kept the reservoir clear so the coolant reads bright against it. We lit the whole thing in blue and violet, which is a lot closer to how a garden actually reads at night than the pinks and greens it has in the daytime, and the flowers grow up through the hardware instead of just piling at the bottom. Even the Optimist mark landed better here than it does anywhere else, since it's a quiet nod to where this whole side of what we do began.

So today, we're retiring Night Rose, and this one's genuinely bittersweet for us. It represents one of the flagship members of The Floral Series - one of the most successful things we've ever put out. But we're retiring the collections as a whole to make room for what comes next.
