Optimist Limited Warranty

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

Coverage Period: 2 Years Parts • 6 Years Labor

1. What This Warranty Covers

Optimist warrants that every Optimist-branded desktop PC is free from defects in materials, craftsmanship, and assembly under normal, intended use.

Parts Coverage — 2 Years

Optimist will repair or replace any defective component originally installed by Optimist, including:

  • CPU, GPU, motherboard, RAM
  • Power supply and storage drives
  • Custom chassis components
  • Cooling hardware (air or liquid)
  • Controllers, hubs, wiring, and internal electronics

Labor Coverage — 6 Years

All labor required for diagnostics, repair, replacement, and system re-assembly is covered for six years from the date of purchase.

2. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not apply to:

  • Misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, drops, spills, electrical surges
  • Overclocking, BIOS modification, or configuration changes not performed or authorized by Optimist
  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or disassembly that break Optimist seals
  • Installation of incompatible third-party hardware
  • Cosmetic wear or normal material aging
  • Failure to perform routine preventative maintenance, including but not limited to:
    • Dust filter cleaning
    • Radiator/fan dust removal
    • Required coolant changes or loop maintenance
  • Operating the system in excessively dusty, hot, or unventilated environments
  • Liquid damage from external sources
  • Software issues not related to hardware defects
  • Consumables (thermal paste, coolant, o-rings) beyond the first year

3. Custom Water-Cooling System Warranty

Optimist's handcrafted liquid-cooling systems include:

  • 2-year parts coverage for pumps, radiators, blocks, fittings, and tubing
  • 1-year coolant coverage for breakdown or discoloration under normal conditions

Leaks caused by a manufacturing defect are fully covered.
Leaks caused by improper maintenance, coolant neglect, or user modifications are not covered.

Paid maintenance services are available upon request.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Include your name, order number, system model, and a description of the issue.

Optimist may require:

  • Photos or videos
  • Remote troubleshooting to determine if service is needed
  • Shipment of the PC or component to our service facility

If the issue is determined to be a manufacturing defect, Optimist covers the cost of return shipping within the U.S.

5. Shipping & Handling

  • Customers are responsible for properly packaging the system for shipment.
  • Optimist can provide a reusable shipping crate upon request.
  • If the issue is not found to be a manufacturing defect, shipping and replacement parts may be billed to the customer.

6. Replacement Parts

Replacement parts may be:

  • New
  • Refurbished
  • Equivalent or higher-performance components if originals are unavailable

Optimist will never downgrade performance.

7. Transferability

This warranty is fully transferable if the PC is sold or gifted.
The new owner must provide the original proof of purchase.

8. Limitation of Liability

Optimist is not responsible for:

  • Loss of data
  • Damage from third-party attempts at repair
  • Incidental, consequential, or indirect damages
  • Any expenses beyond the original purchase price of the system

Customers should maintain their own data backups.
